Partly, I am old and partly I have seen a lot, which is the same thing. I have accumulated considerable experience in a wide variety of professional and personal situations, so I believe that people consider me-with considerable optimism-“a person of culture and competence.”
I am of an irrepressible and compulsive intellectual curiosity. I believe that learning and knowing is one of life’s greatest pleasures and I never tire of it. I enjoy informing myself, understanding, reading, listening, discussing, arguing, perhaps in a confused and chaotic way but always enthusiastically.
I plan, organize, and coordinate teams. I leave a lot of room for others, especially when they are better and more competent than I am, and I intervene with my experience only when I believe it is beneficial to improve the result and go beyond expectations.
